Denny’s practice focuses on corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnering, venture capital financings, corporate finance and advising technology startups.
Prior to joining White & Lee, Denny was a Managing Partner of Acuity Ventures, an early stage venture capital fund based in Silicon Valley. He previously practiced corporate and securities law at Carr McClellan Ingersoll Thompson & Horn and the Enterprise Law Group.
Denny is highly experienced in advising and managing startups in technology and other industries. He presently serves as chairman of the board of Cheryl Burke Dance, LLC and as director of Professional Healthcare and Roadrunner Solar. He has previously served as interim CEO and chairman of StaffNet Solutions, board member and general counsel of Portal Bay, chief financial officer and general counsel of Ynot Creations and vice president/general counsel of Aplex.
Prior to practicing corporate law, Mr. Roja was managing director of a Silicon Valley-based investment banking firm that provided corporate financial advisory and business valuation services to emerging growth high technology firms. He was previously a corporate development executive for two Fortune 50 companies -- General Foods where he managed the successful acquisition of Entenmann's Baked Goods, Ronzoni Italian Foods and Oscar Mayer, and Pacific Telesis where he played a key role in its mobile telecom and wireless acquisitions. He held executive positions at General Foods including international controller and director of strategic planning, and served as strategic advisor to Olympus Corporation of Japan and Wells Fargo’s Asian strategic business unit. He serves on the board of Stanford Buck/Cardinal and is a trustee of Ayala Foundation USA. In 2000, he was inducted into the Stanford University Alumni Multicultural Hall of Fame.
