Ralph Kokka represents a broad variety of businesses, investors and entrepreneurs located throughout the Bay Area in corporate and transactional matters. Ralph’s corporate and business practice has focused on private equity financings, including angel and VC investments, mergers and acquisitions, IP protection and strategy, entity formations and advising emerging growth companies and investors. Ralph also counsels corporate and individual clients on a wide range of tax matters.
Ralph is a former litigator, having started his legal career as a commercial litigation attorney with O’Melveny & Myers in Los Angeles, after a judicial clerkship with then Chief Judge Edward C. Reed, Jr. of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. After making the switch to transactional law, Ralph practiced with Reed Smith and Bay Venture Counsel in Oakland where he represented emerging growth companies based primarily in the East Bay, and with Randick O’Dea & Tooliatos in Pleasanton where he represented a variety of companies and investors in corporate and real estate transactions.
When he is not working, Ralph enjoys spending time with his wife and twin son and daughter, surfing, skiing, winetasting and traveling.
