Mr.
Caffee has extensive experience in corporate finance and securities
law matters, including the representation of technology and
emerging growth companies, securities professionals and investors.
His practice encompasses the formation, financing, corporate
governance, intellectual property counseling and transactional
fields. He has handled complex mergers and acquisitions, licensing
and distribution arrangements, venture capital financings and
strategic partnerships for a wide variety of public and private
company clients in a wide range of industries, including software,
ecommerce, semiconductors, computer peripherals and retail.
Mr. Caffee was Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Securities Regulation Section of the Oregon State Bar in 1997. He taught Securities Regulation and Mergers and Acquisitions at the University of Oregon School of Law, and Securities Regulations at Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College as an Adjunct Professor.
Prior to joining White & Lee in 2000, Mr. Caffee was the
lead partner in the securities law practice of the Portland
firm of Dunn Carney Allen Higgins & Tongue LLP. He was a
former securities examiner with the Oregon Corporation Commission.
